Happy New York Fashion Week! Starting moment, the week will be filled with road style stars and shutterbugs( including Vogue’s veritably own Phil Oh) each across New York City who'll be attending some of the week’s biggest shows from Thom Browne, Willy Chavarria, Rodarte, Luar and others. This season, the six days of Fashion Week will be filled with the returns of some familiar faces, including Rodarte and Anna Sui, who have n’t had shows in New York since the spring 2022 ready- to- wear season, as well as some farewells from NY regulars like Tom Ford and Peter Do who have n’t yet participated their plans for the fall 2023 season.
The shows will officially protest off on Friday with a donation for NY Men’s Day, followed by shows from Rodarte, Collina Strada, Simkhai, Prabal Gurung, and Dion Lee. Proenza Schouler will take the Saturday spot this season with a noon show that ca n’t be missed. Area, Heron Preston, and Eckhaus Latta will follow. Sunday will be the battle of the Super Bowlvs. Khaite, as Catherine Holstein will take the 600p.m. time niche. Then’s to hoping that all those lucky enough to be invited to the show can make a quick exit to make it home just in time for the halftime performance from Rihanna.
This season, downtowners will be moving uptown, including Sandy Liang, who'll take her show to the Upper East Side, while Brooklyn- ites like Collina Strada will be coming to Manhattan. For one night only, New York institutions like the New York Public Library and the Guggenheim will host fashion shows. New York will also drink Palomo Spain, who last showed in the megacity in 2017. Editors, guests, and shutterbugs will scramble between Manhattan and Brooklyn and back that evening to make shows from Tory Burch, Elena Velez, and LaQuan Smith. The week will end strong with shows from Thom Browne and Altuzarra on Tuesday and Willy Chavarria and Luar on Wednesday.
